Gordon Brown is either the best poker player in the UK or the worst in the world with news of a further £20 billion gamble in the offing. He has already invested hundreds of billions of pounds into the UK economy but like any good poker player he seems to have some strength in depth and the ability to bluff and bluff again. Like any good gambler he has been talking up his hand and he believes that investment in the earlier rounds will come to fruition very soon.
