In the UK, The New Football Pools is offering soccer fans up to £240,000 courtesy of its Footy 15 competition as a way of beating that ‘back to work’ feeling.
To take part, players simply log onto FootballPools.com, register their details and play. From a list of 15 specially chosen fixtures each week, players must predict if a game will end in a home win, draw or away win. Some 700,000 customers play The New Football Pools each week and a pound stake could see one lucky member of the public walk away with an estimated top prize of £240,000.
“Footy 15 was created to meet the demands of the modern football fan for a quick, easy and exciting way of testing their football knowledge every week,” said Ian Penrose, Chief Executive Officer for Liverpool-based Sportech, owners of The New Football Pools.
“This season we’ve already paid out over £1.25 million on our new games with one lucky Footy 15 winner landing over £300,000.”
Players can also pit their wits against former legendary professional players such as Alan Hansen and John Barnes in the Premier 10 competition. To go head-to-head with these pundits for an estimated jackpot of £30,000, log onto to FootballPools.com and decide the outcome for ten Premiership matches, which include the Merseyside derby of Liverpool versus Everton on Monday
