Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott is tonight on top of the world after demolishing a 115 player field including a number of world-class poker stars. His aggressive style and forthright attacking strategies saw him lift the €152,000 Jackpot in the Euro Finals of Poker in the Aviation Club de Paris. When you also add in his €33,000 victory at the Irish poker championship earlier this year it has been a very good start for the man known simply as Devilfish.
Many people will be aware that Devilfish already has his own poker brand which is sure to benefit from his increasing promotional and media coverage over the coming weeks. He has a habit of bagging substantial victories and making the most of the certain media coverage which follows, but can he continue his run of form throughout 2009?
Born in Hull in England back in April 1954, David Ulliott is one of the leading English professional gamblers and poker players. Despite having something of a chequered background he has won his own World Series of Poker bracelet and is one of the most highly visible stars on poker TV coverage. While not necessarily liked by the vast majority of the worldwide poker community, "Devilfish" has a belief and an attitude which has served him very well so far.
