Little tricks the casinos use to keep you playing!
Saturday 24th January 2009
Have you ever wondered why every casino you've ever visited has no windows, and no natural lighting on the actual casino floor?
The lack of natural lighting is a common trick used by the casino industry in order to fool your body clock and make it more difficult for you to realise what time of day or night it is when you are on the casino floor. How many times have you nipped into the casino for a few hands and ended up staying for hours? How many times have you lost track of time on the casino floor?
The less visible signs of time, whether this be day or night, the more chance that you will continue to play poker or other casino games for a considerable length of time. There is also a fact that less distractions directly equate to greater income and greater activity on the casino floor. The ability to keep you focused on the game rather than what is happening around you is vital and one reason why many casinos offer complimentary food and drinks to their patrons.
Next time you are in a casino try and guess what time of day or night it is before you leave and you will no doubt see what we are trying to demonstrate!
