Norwegian bingo players can now take part in their favourite games online while being sat in their favourite land-based venue.

Canada’s Parlay Entertainment Incorporated has signed an agreement with Norsk Bingo AS that will see the launch of a new concept in bingo entertainment throughout Norway over the coming months.
Parlay is a leading supplier of Internet and television bingo software solutions and stated that Norsk Bingo had already deployed 20 of what will soon be 2,000 touchscreen tabletop kiosks in 30 bingo halls throughout the Scandinavian nation. Using the units from Parlay, Norwegian bingo players will be able to access bingo online while being seated in their favourite land-based bingo hall.
Oakville-based Parlay revealed that radio frequency cards allow players to activate and access their accounts, manage financial transactions and control gameplay. Players begin by simply flashing their card in front of the unit with all subsequent functions controlled using a touchscreen.

Parlay was the first company in the world to develop and deploy a commercial Internet bingo product and has been exhibiting at this week’s International Gaming Expo (IGE) 2009, which runs until tomorrow at London’s Earls Court Exhibition Centre.
