SafeCharge Excited By ICEi 2009

Leading Internet payment services provider set to show off how it can spread online operators' risks involved in card-not-present transactions.

Monday 26th January 2009

Leading Isle of Man-based Internet payment services provider SafeCharge International Limited has announced that it will be exhibiting at this week’s International Casino Exhibition Interactive (ICEi) 2009. SafeCharge stated that it plans to use its appearance at the annual London trade show to show off how it can spread online operators' risks involved in card-not-present transactions through its own multiple-banking relationships. ICEi is part of the International Gaming Expo (IGE) and takes place at Earls Court Exhibition Centre from Tuesday to Thursday. SafeCharge announced that it would demonstrate how it could protect online businesses from the global financial crisis by offering them more than one merchant account with several acquiring banks through the same payment service provider. “The financial recession has created new economic breakdowns,” said Sharon Gal-Franko, Marketing Director for SafeCharge. “Nowadays, relying solely on one acquiring bank is risky. What would you do, for example, if with very short notice were you informed that your bank would no longer process online transactions that are industry-specific coded? What if they announced bankruptcy? “You would not only lose revenue but you would have to find a new acquiring bank to apply for a new merchant account with most likely new and different requirements.” SafeCharge stated that it is a connected payment-service provider (PSP) that can fit the best bank at the right time in order to fulfil the specific processing needs of an e-commerce operator due to the array of acquiring banks in its portfolio. It revealed that it is prepared to replace one bank with another acquirer without troubling online merchants with an additional application process. “SafeCharge is exactly that connected PSP able to switch merchants’ online processing to a different acquiring bank, ensuring them incessant processing activity by only one system integration, no additional handling, administrative fees or bureaucratic hardships.” said Gal-Franko.
