Following its three-month Pink Ribbon online fundraising campaign, William Hill Bingo has given the Breast Cancer Care charity a generous New Year’s present of £41,000.
The popular online bingo site kicked off its three-month Pink Ribbon fundraising campaign in October, which was also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Players helped raise money by playing specially marked Pink Ribbon games, with ten percent from every ticket being donated to Breast Cancer Care, a registered charity that supports anyone affected by breast cancer.
William Hill Bingo also donated ten pounds to the charity for every new player that registered and played a minimum of £20 within a month.
“Many thanks to our bingo players who have participated in the Pink Ribbon campaign in the last three months, enabling us to raise this terrific amount to help people affected by breast cancer,” said Lili Huang, spokesperson for William Hill.
“One person is diagnosed with breast cancer every eleven minutes making it the most common cancer in the UK. That’s why Breast Cancer Care needs our help to ensure they can continue to provide information and support to anybody who is affected by the disease.”
