Born in 1962 Jimmy White is one of the best known snooker players of all time with the nickname of the "whirlwind" because of his speed around the table. While he has been a professional snooker player since 1980 he has so often been the nearly man in the world of professional snooker reaching the world professional championship final on no fewer than six occasions but walking away each time without the trophy.
He has a fan base throughout the world of snooker which few can match but over the last few years he has been trying his hand at poker. Unfortunately his poker career to date has been as volatile as his snooker playing days because while he has won $157,000 on the professional circuit this consists of a $150,000 win in the poker million Masters series in 2003 and sixth place at the partypoker.com world open III in May 2007. While he is yet to set the celebrity poker scene alight it he has enjoyed a number of relatively successful qualifying campaigns but as we saw in his snooker career, he has yet to learn how to convert these into wins at the main events.
Total career earnings to date for Jimmy White total $157,000.
