Playtech, a leading global designer, developer and licensor of software for the online and mobile gaming industries, looks set to add sportsbetting to its list of services after announcing the purchase of Cyprus-based Player2Player.
Player2Player is a sportsbetting software provider that Isle of Man-based Playtech bought last week for an undisclosed sum, adding to its existing suite of casino, poker and bingo software products.
“The addition of sportsbetting brings important growth opportunities for the company in regulated jurisdictions, creating new cross-selling opportunities, enabling licensees to diversify their businesses and helping the company to attract new customers,” said Mor Weizer, Chief Executive Officer for Playtech.
Playtech stated that Player2Player’s technology would be integrated into its existing platforms and made available to its partners soon, meaning that it would cover almost every form of gambling.
