Lottomatica subsidiary expected to earn in excess of $550 million after signing a seven-year deal with North America’s largest lottery.

Leading American gaming technology and services firm GTech Corporation has announced that it has signed a contract with the New York Lottery to provide it with new online solutions and services for the next seven years.
GTech is a subsidiary of leading commercial lottery operator Lottomatica and revealed that the integrated services contract could also be extended for a further three years.
The New York Lottery estimated the total value of the contract at more than $550 million and revealed that, subject to a protest period ending next month, the Attorney General and the State Comptroller could approve the deal by June 10.
GTech stated that its proposed solution set includes a full suite of online and instant systems alongside up to 20,000 online lottery terminals, a variety of self-service lottery products and multimedia technology, a new wireless telecommunications network, instant-ticket warehousing and ongoing services.

GTech has been a lottery technology and services provider to the New York Lottery since 1986 and this contract is expected to begin in March of 2010.
