Following the signing of 24-year-old Matt Vengrin two weeks ago, leading online poker site AbsolutePoker.com has announced that model and actress Lacy Jones has become its second sponsored professional player.
A member of the Cereus Poker Network, AbsolutePoker.com revealed that Jones would compete regularly on the online poker site with players able to use its free Absolute Buddy software to discover where she is seated.
“I'm so excited about this amazing new chapter of my career with AbsolutePoker.com,” said Jones.
”Our fit couldn't be more perfect and I can't wait to share all of the amazing stuff that's in store with the AbsolutePoker.com community.”
Jones began her poker career with ESPN in 2005 after being hired as a model to play in a charity tournament. However, she soon surprised the field by finishing 32nd out on 360 competitors. She has since gone on to secure a number of strong finishes including cashing at the World Series Of Poker and finishing as runner-up at the 2004 San Diego Super Bowl Of Poker.
She will be familiar to many due to her roles on the HBO series Entourage alongside Fox Television's The OC. The Texan has also featured in the NBC series Las Vegas and was voted the hottest woman in poker last year by WickedChopsPoker.com. She has graced the cover of Bluff Magazine while also serving as a live commentary on-camera hostess for the World Series Of Poker and co-hosting The Real Deal from the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
