Leading poker publication Bluff Europe has announced a special series of free lectures for next month’s two-day Poker In The Park tournament in London featuring some of the world’s best players including Peter Eastgate, Jamie Gold and Annette Obrestad.
Europe’s largest annual poker festival, Poker In The Park is now in its third year and will also see professional players including Nik Persaud and Neil Channing give special lectures from 7:30pm on August 13.
World Series Of Poker winners Gold and Eastgate will kick off the event with the first two lectures from 5:15pm on the Thursday speaking about playing in mid-sized tournaments. This is to be followed by World Series Of Poker Europe champion Obrestad from 6:45pm along with Persaud and Irish Open winner Channing.
Friday’s schedule also kicks off with Gold from 12:30pm before former actor Michael Greco and ex-Ireland international soccer player Tony Cascarino discuss their love of poker and what is making them focus their attention on this beautiful game as of late.
All lectures are scheduled to be 30 minutes in length and be followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers and an autograph session.
“The line-up we have at Poker In The Park is the kind you’d expect to see at one of the world’s major tournaments,” said Michael Caselli, Editor-In-Chief for Bluff Europe magazine.
“If you wanted to pay these players individually to teach you how to play poker you’d spend over £100,000. At Poker In The Park you can learn from the best of the best for free.”
