Learn the intricacies of poker next month for free from some of the world’s best players including Peter Eastgate, Jamie Gold and Annette Obrestad.

Devotees attending this summer’s Poker In The Park festival in London are being given the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the game for free from a selection of the world’s best players.
Europe’s largest annual poker festival, Poker In The Park will take place from five o’clock in the afternoon until half-past nine in the evening on August 13 from the heart of Leicester Square. The action will also carry on over August 14 from noon until half-past nine in the evening.
Now in its third year, the first day of Poker In The Park will feature 30-minute lectures from World Series Of Poker main event champions Jamie Gold and Peter Eastgate on playing in mid-sized tournaments. Due to kick off from 5:15pm on Thursday, these lectures will be followed by 15-minute question and answer sessions where the pros will also sign autographs.This will be followed by a talk from World Series Of Poker Europe champion Annette Obrestad at 6:45pm before Nik Persaud gives his insight at 7:30pm followed by Irish Open winner Neil Channing at 8:15pm.
Friday’s schedule of lectures kicks off with Gold again from half-past noon followed by talks from special guests Alex Rousso, Nik Wealthall and Liv Boeree before ex-Ireland international soccer player Tony Cascarino and former actor Michael Greco discuss their love of poker and what has made them focus their attention on this beautiful game. This will be followed from 5:45pm by lectures from Paul Jackson, John Tabatabai, Marc Goodwin and Ian Frazer before Jamie Gold closes out proceedings from 8:45pm.
