Louisiana’s NFL franchise becomes the latest to sign a scratch-off card game deal with a local state lottery.

In America, the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League (NFL) has become the latest franchise to enter into a joint marketing agreement with a state lottery involving a scratch-off card game.
Earlier this year, the New England Patriots, Washington Redskins and Houston Texans were among other NFL teams that announced similar partnerships with lotteries in their areas.
Beginning in September, the Saints will offer a branded scratch-off card game in partnership with the Louisiana Lottery offering a top cash prize of $100,000. Players also will be eligible for second-chance prizes including tours of the NFL club’s suburban New Orleans training centre or special access for Saints home games in the Louisiana Superdome.
'Imagine touring the Saints practice facility, having lunch with the Saints’ head coach, enjoying the season in plaza sideline seats or getting VIP access to pre-game field activities or a clubroom in the Superdome,' said Rose Hudson, President for the Louisiana Lottery.
By law, at least 35 percent of the lottery’s game sales must be earmarked for public education and be transferred to the state’s Treasury Department.
'We look forward to working with the Louisiana Lottery to bring this new co-branded game to our fans and lottery players,' said Rita Benson LeBlanc, Executive for the team and granddaughter of the club’s majority owner, Tom Benson.
'This partnership will generate both excitement and revenues for important state programmes funded through the Louisiana Lottery every year.'
