Leading publisher and event organiser iGaming Business has announced that legendary poker player Doyle Brunson will be holding a special question and answer session at the upcoming Budapest Affiliate Conference (BAC) 2009.
Scheduled to take place from September 10 to 13 at the city’s SYMA Sports And Event Centre, BAC 2009 is part of a series of events that began with CAP Euro in January of 2007 and has become one of the largest affiliate conferences with 1,700 attendees.
Brunson recently re-launched his branded online poker site at DoylesRoom.com and stated that he will be attending BAC 2009 in order to promote the domain and gather information from the affiliates in attendance.
“My personal goal is to establish the new DoylesRoom.com and its affiliate programme and to ensure that we build bridges and trust as I’m certain that DoylesRoom.com is set to be the fastest growing poker room online,” said Brunson.
“I have the privilege of being able to talk poker in person with players all over the world but it’s not often that I get to chat to affiliates. I’m really looking forward to getting down to business at the Budapest Affiliate Conference with some of the key people who drive this industry.”
Seventy-five-year-old Brunson, nicknamed ‘Texas Dolly’, is one of the icons of poker after winning ten World Series Of Poker bracelets over 20 years. He was the first player to win one million dollars playing poker tournaments and continues to take part in some of the world’s top competitions.
“It was incredible to hear that the legend himself was interested in coming to another one of our events,” said Alex Pratt, lead organiser for the event.
“Doyle was a hit at a previous event held in Barcelona in 2007 when serving as keynote speaker and is guaranteed to create an even bigger impact now as delegates will be able to meet the man himself and experience a rare private question and answer session with him.
“Brunson’s experience in poker and the evolution of the industry over the last 50 years cannot be matched. This is an once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet one of the men who started it all.”
