The Australia arm of online sportsbetting and gaming firm SportingBet has signed a deal with V8 Supercars Australia to launch a betting platform specially tailored for fans of the nation’s most popular motorsport.
SportingBet stated that V8Bet.com.au would provide punters with a wide range of bets on motorsport alongside all of its regular markets.
'V8Bet.com.au will have a range of motorsport markets that have never been seen before in Australia with everything from our normal win markets to quinellas, head-to-heads, lap times and many more,” said Michael Sullivan, Chief Executive Officer for SportingBet Australia.
'V8Bet.com.au will also have betting on all our regular horse racing, Australian Football League, Rugby League and a huge range of other sports on top of all the new motorsport markets. It will be the one-stop-shop for punters and particularly those with an interest in V8s and other forms of motorsport.'
Founded in 1997, V8 Supercars is a 14-event touring car championship held in every Australian state alongside rounds in New Zealand and Bahrain. Crowds approaching 250,000 regularly turn up to watch the action from either purpose-built racetracks or street circuits.
'This is a tremendous opportunity for our fans to get a bet on the Championship with a totally reliable and Australia-wide betting organisation, one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere,' said Tony Cochrane, Executive Chairman for V8 Supercars Australia.
'You can make a bet on any of the major sports and horseracing but V8Bet.com.au is designed with a focus on our fans. We welcome SportingBet to the ever-growing stable of leading companies involved in V8 Supercars and we are certain that, over time, this will prove to be a strong partnership that will help grow our sport.'
