Leading American gaming technology and services firm GTech Corporation has announced that its GTech Printing Corporation subsidiary has signed a ten-year deal with the firm behind the national lottery of Slovakia.
The agreement was signed following a competitive procurement and will see the American firm provide operator Tipos with instant ticket services for the nation’s lottery.
The Slovakian Ministry Of Finance is the only shareholder in Tipos and GTECH revealed that the deal, which began earlier this month, contains unlimited extension options.
“Over the next decade, we will partner with Tipos to provide cutting-edge innovative games that will excite customers and attract new generations of players,” said Ross Dalton, Senior Vice-President Of Printed Products And Licensed Content for GTECH.
“GTech Printing Corporation is excited to bring a fresh and new dynamic to Tipos’ instant game portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to provide one of Europe’s leading lottery providers with high-quality instant tickets and exceptional customer service.”
Since its inception in 1993, GTECH has provided the Slovakian lottery with ongoing services including the operation and maintenance of central system hardware, software, terminals, telecommunications services, hotline management, retailer training and data centre operations.
The new agreement will see GTECH and GTech Printing Corporation service Tipos with a fully-integrated lottery programme that is customised to meet the unique needs of the Slovakian market and its customers.
“We chose GTech Printing Corporation because of its new state-of-the-art printing facility in Florida, its experienced and knowledgeable staff and its great economic value,” said Peter Kapusta, Chairman and General Director for Tipos.
“We look forward to developing new game concepts with GTech Printing Corporation in the future.”
