Leading online poker site has promised to pay a total of one million dollars to its LA Poker Classic qualifiers if one of them should win the event next month.

Leading online poker site PartyPoker.com is holding qualifiers for the upcoming LA Poker Classic and is giving its competitors an extra incentive by promising to pay out one million dollars if one of them should win the main event.
The LA Poker Classic will take place at Commerce Casino from February 24 to March 4 with the Gibraltar-licensed site promising to pay the eventual main event winner $500,000 if they qualified through PartyPoker.com.
In addition, PartyPoker.com revealed that it would share out an additional $500,000 to all of its online qualifiers no matter where they finished in the California event if one of them should take down the top prize.
The qualifying packages being offered by PartyPoker.com are worth $14,000 and include the land-based event’s $10,000 buy-in along with a week’s luxury accommodation and $2,500 in spending money. Qualifiers start from $3 but the domain is also holding daily freerolls into the sub-qualifiers until February 7.
PartyPoker.com stated that it will hold $750 buy-in LA Poker Classic weekly qualifiers every Sunday from 2.15pm New York time with one $14,000 package awarded for every 20 players participating. At least two trips are guaranteed.

Last year's main event and its top prize of $2,713,650 were taken down by Texan Cornel Cimpan. In 2008, the title was won by Phil Ivey while other champions have included Antonio Esfandiari and Michael Mizrachi.
