Pamela Brunson joins Brunson 10

Daughter of legendary poker player will now look after all of the team’s public relations duties to give her father more time to select young talent.

Friday 29th January 2010

American poker legend Doyle Brunson has announced that his daughter Pamela has been appointed to manage his team of ten hand-picked players that represent his leading online poker site at DoylesRoom.com. The Brunson 10 currently consists of Amit ‘amak316’ Makhija, Zachary ‘CrazyZachary’ Clark, Dani ‘ansky’ Stern and Chris ‘Moorman1’ Moorman with Brunson committed to picking six more players under the age of 25 to represent his site at leading poker tournaments around the world. Pamela Brunson will now manage, organise and handle public relations duties for the Brunson 10 to give her father more time to select the remaining members of his team. “Mark my words, 2010 will be the year of the Brunson 10,” said 76-year-old Brunson. “I’ll be spending the next eleven months filling the remaining six spots with online poker players who’ve proven themselves. Thanks to the smartest people in the industry now on board at DoylesRoom.com to help, that task should be a really easy one.” Pamela Brunson was born in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1964 and has a degree in sociology from the University Of Texas At San Antonio. She began playing poker professionally soon after but moved on after three years to work as a receptionist for a retirement home in southern California. However, she quickly moved up the ladder to accounts manager, marketing director and then executive director for some of the preeminent retirement communities in the US. The Las Vegas resident now invests in real estate and has begun playing poker again, cashing twice during the 2007 World Series Of Poker and taking down the Legends Of Poker ladies tournament the same year for $44,000.
