Dave ‘DoubleDave22’ D’Alesandro won $279,044 over the weekend after taking down the main event final ahead of Lauren ‘SuperModl’ Kling.

Leading online poker site UltimateBet.com wrapped its twelve-day UBOC 2010 schedule over the weekend with Dave ‘DoubleDave22’ D’Alesandro taking home $279,044 for winning the $1,050 buy-in main event.
The no-limit hold’em final was hosted by professional poker player Phil Hellmuth and welcomed 1,307 players to create a total prize pool of £1.307 million, which was the largest in the site’s ten-year history.
The main event began on January 31 at 4pm New York time with D’Alesandro defeating runner-up Lauren ‘SuperModl’ Kling with a full house twelve hours and 43 minutes later. Heads-up play between the two finalists lasted a mere 30 hands with Kling walking away richer to the tune of $163,244 for finishing second.
“This year’s UBOC brought me out in full force,” said Wisconsin native Hellmuth.
“I played in almost every event, cashed four times and had two top-nine finishes. What a way to end the best online championship poker series ever.”
UtimateBet.com revealed that 135 players finished in the money at the final including third place finisher Brett ‘BS0228’ Switzer, who walked away with $115,016, while fourth placed Sean ‘WaWa711’ Rice took home $83,648.
Flying the flag for Team UB was Michael Binger, who finished in fifth for $69,924, while Jeff ‘JeffBeesDat’ Gray pocketed the $500 bounty placed on Hellmuth after sending him to the rails in 314st spot. Gray saw his four kings best the eleven-time World Series Of Poker bracelet holder’s hand before the bounty winner finally crashed out in 61st place to take home $3,267.
Sixth place and its $56,854 prize went to Maxim ‘MuckAndLose’ Lykov while Josh ‘Dahjinerat’ Mancuso banked $43,131 for finishing in seventh. Rounding out the final table was ‘EBSCR00GE’ in eighth for $30,714 and ‘GSKI6986’ in ninth for $21,565.
UltimateBet.com stated that 10,041 online poker players competed in 18 guaranteed events as part of this year’s UBOC and created a total prize pool of just over $5.327 million.
