Leading online poker room EverestPoker.com has launched the fourth edition of its European Cup competition giving novice players in 15 nations the opportunity to battle it out in one of the continent’s largest freerolls.
Amateur poker players living in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Holland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland can qualify from now until April to join one of the 15-member teams.
There will then be a live final in May between the 15 teams at a top southern European resort with the winners taking home the 2010 title along with their share of a €100,000 prize pool.
A combination of free online and live qualifiers will determine the membership of each 15-member team with events taking place all across Europe and at EverestPoker.com. Each winning team member will receive a prize package that includes accommodation, travel and event activities worth €2,000 to attend the live final in May.
“We’ve simplified the qualification process for European Cup 2010,” read a statement from EverestPoker.com.
“This year, the tournament is open to 15 countries. EverestPoker.com has 225 live final spots to fill so 15 players from each competing country will advance.”
