The 15th edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS), one of the world’s largest recurring virtual poker series, begins tonight offering over $17 million in total guaranteed prize money spread across 27 events.
FullTiltPoker.com announced that there would be six events guaranteeing at least one million dollars in prize money with the first of these, a $216 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament, getting the latest edition of FTOPS going this evening from nine o’clock New York time.
Featuring a wide variety of tournament types including shoot-out, knock-out, turbo and super turbo events, every FTOPS XV competition will be hosted by a Full Tilt Poker pro while satellite games are running now with buy-ins starting from as little as 50 cents or 50 Full Tilt Points.
FullTiltPoker.com also revealed that it will host a $322 buy-in no-limit hold’em FTOPS XV tournament on February 14 starting at 6pm offering at least $1.5 million in total cash prizes. The same format will offer an identical event on February 15 from 9pm only with a steeper buy-in of $1,060.
There will also be a one million dollar guaranteed no-limit hold ‘em six-max rebuy event with a buy-in of $322 on February 17 from 9pm while February 22 from 2pm will see the start of a two-day event promising to pay out at least two million dollars.
Similar to last year’s FTOPS XIV final, the main event for the 15th edition will take place on February 24 from 6pm and is promising at least $2.5 million in guaranteed prize money.
Players can also take on FTOPS Challenges to earn cash bonuses and freeroll entries while testing their poker skills. As an example, FullTiltPoker.com revealed that any player taking on its Million Dollar Challenge would receive a one million dollar payday if they finish in a paid position in at least 17 FTOPS events.
FTOPS XV is also running a tournament leaderboard challenge with the overall top finisher set to win their own custom-made avatar. In addition, the winner will receive their buy-ins for every event at FTOPS XVI with the exception of the two-day competition.
