Leading events organiser iGaming Business (iGB) has announced that its recent iGB Affiliate Awards event in London was a big success with Ladbrokes taking home the prizes for best bingo affiliate programme and manager.
Held on January 28 at the Grange St Paul’s Hotel just before the start of the annual London Affiliate Conference, the latest edition of the iGB Affiliate Awards saw a guest list of 540 people, which read like a who’s who of the online gaming affiliate industry.
“The night was a huge success and the winners truly deserve their place on the big screen,” said Alex Pratt from iGB.
“It’s the best way we know how to reward the amount of effort and dedication every affiliate and affiliate manager put into their campaigns and work throughout the year. And best of all, this is voted and judged by industry peers, which is the best validation you can get.”
The night was hosted by professional poker player Phil ‘The Unabomber’ Laak alongside Michael Caselli from iGB and also saw Scotty Nguyen, Doyle Brunson, Dan Fleishman, Andrew Robl and Antonio Esfandiari in attendance.
In addition to Ladbrokes, some of the other 23 winners included bet365, which took home the best sportsbook and overall affiliate programme awards, while Income Access dominated the non-traditional iGaming categories. There were also noteworthy affiliate wins for PokerStrategy.com and BingoBase.com but it was Pokerisivut.com that took the gold by winning the much coveted Best Overall Affiliate prize.
In addition, previous winners fought hard to keep their place at the top with Poker Star walking away with three prizes while Microgaming, Neteller, Reward Affiliates and Betbrain still reign supreme in their categories.
“A big congratulations to all the winners and a special thank you and congratulations to everyone who donated so generously for the Haiti cause and Oxfam,” said Marit Von Stedingk, Event Manager for the Awards.
“We raised a total of £65,000, which will be doubled to £130,000 by the Calvin Ayre Foundation, and this could not have been done without the generosity the whole iGaming industry.
“No business beats this market for being able to mix fun, work and true professionalism so simultaneously. On which subject, we are missing a few Tube Sign centrepieces. If they get back to me in one piece I promise not to ask any questions.”
