Leading online poker site PokerStars.com is gearing up to deal its 40 billionth hand next week and is celebrating with its F40 promotion offering milestone hand rewards, special sit and go tournaments and unique VIP offers.
The Isle Of Man-licensed domain was launched just over eight years ago and is offering to reward players dealt into every millionth hand a cash prize based on the number of points they’ve earned at the tables.
Starting with hand 39,601,000, PokerStars.com stated that it is expecting to give away more than one million dollars with $40 on offer for every point a player earned on their 40 previous visits to that particular table.
“PokerStars.com calculates that in the last 40 hands at that table you have earned 31 VPPs,” read a statement from the online poker site.
“Add that to the extra VPP that all players dealt in are awarded and you have a total of 32 VPPs. This means you’ll win $1,280 (32x$40). Go on to win the hand and this will be doubled to $2,560.”
All players that take part in the landmark 40 billionth hand will receive $400 for every point that they have earned over the previous 40 hands. The winner of this special event will also have their cash prize doubled, which could see them walk away with tens of thousands of dollars. In the event of a split pot, all winners will have their prize money doubled but this will only apply to the hand’s main pot as side pots will not be included.
The F40 promotion will also feature eight special tournaments each with a $40,000 prize pool beginning on Sunday and running until February 21 that players can enter for only 40 points. This is in addition to a $40 buy-in event on Sunday with a one million dollar guarantee beginning from 2.30pm New York time.
PokerStars.com is also hosting a special Sunday Million Fourth Anniversary Edition game on February 21 from 4.30pm New York time featuring a four million dollar guaranteed prize pool.
Beginning on Sunday and running for a week, PokerStars.com will also offer 40-player sit and go tournaments with buy-ins of $1.10, $11, $22 and $55. All winners are to receive an extra cash prize at the end of the promotion, which will be a share of a $40,000 prize pot. The online poker site revealed that there will be one $40,000 prize pot for each sit and go buy-in level for a total of $160,000.
Finally, PokerStars.com is offering a one-per-customer $40 instant cash credit for VIP players that they can purchase for 2,500 FPPs between now and February 21.
