Leading publisher and events organiser iGaming Business (iGB) has announced that its recent London Affiliate Conference was a success with over 60 exhibitors, seven networking parties and two keynote addresses.
The London Affiliate Conference was held at Old Billingsgate from January 29 to 31 preceded by the illustrious iGB Affiliate Awards and saw a total of 2,194 delegates brave the cold to be part of the biggest event of its kind ever held.
iGB stated that the event was ‘unrivalled in terms of sheer attendance and popularity’ and highlighted the many special measures exhibitors went to, which included everything from champagne and poker tournaments to stunning models and guest celebrities, in order to attract the best affiliates in the market.
With the networking parties and keynote speeches among its myriad of conference topics lead by industry leaders, iGB stated that attendees had ‘the opportunity to create a constructive and effective business model and key relationships for all their affiliate marketing needs’.
“The conferences are an essential tool that allows you to work face-to-face with companies from all over the world in order to improve your business,” said Neil Mitchell, an affiliate and owner of SohoRock.co.uk.
“It enables you to keep up with industry events, network with likeminded individuals and resolve any issues that may have arisen between conferences. It is also a fantastic opportunity to create strong business relationships, not just between affiliate and operator but also affiliate and affiliate.”
The London Affiliate Conference saw Victor Chandler, the man behind leading sportsbook VictorChandler.com, there to meet and greet affiliates, while BetUS.com featured a team of models signing personalised copies of their calendars. Andy Fordham, the 2004 British Darts Organisation’s World Darts Champion, made an appearance at the Affactive stand daring delegates to beat him at his own game while EuroPartners invited Guinness Book Of World Records holder Eyal Horn to show off his ball mastery skills with everything from basketballs to tennis balls. A notable surprise was a stunt from Winner Affiliates that saw over 60 bystanders suddenly rocking out to contemporary tunes in the middle of the busy expo.
All eyes will now turn towards the iGaming Super Show, which will take place in Prague from May 25 to 28 and is free for affiliates to attend. The rumour mill is already spinning as to how best to top the high expectations set by previous iGB affiliate events, with the organiser stating that Prague is ‘destined to be an event like no other and with the gallant purpose of attempting to unite the whole online gambling industry under one roof’.
