Inteltek joint venture has received exclusive permission to operate and manage fixed-odds and parimutuel games for the next ten years.

Intralot, the Athens-based developer and supplier of gaming and transaction processing systems, has announced that its Inteltek subsidiary in Turkey has received authorisation to organise, operate, manage and develop fixed-odds and parimutuel sportsbetting games including the provision of related services for Azerbaijan.
Inteltek holds a 51 percent stake in local firm AzerInteltek and will operate sportsbetting through the joint venture on an exclusive basis via over 1,000 points of sale across Azerbaijan for the next ten years.
Azerbaijan is a country of approximately nine million people located in the Caucasus region of Eurasia at the crossroads between Eastern Europe and Western Asia. The nation has large deposits of oil and has experienced high rates of economic growth since achieving independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
“In the context of evaluating investment opportunities in various countries of the wider region, we decided to enter the promising market of Azerbaijan together with our respectable partner Turkcell through our joint venture Inteltek, which has created strong values and competences in the gaming sector and a clear expansion strategy outside Turkey,” said Constantinos Antonopoulos, Chief Executive Officer for Intralot.
