Leading online poker site TitanPoker.com is holding a special promotion this week to celebrate its appearance in the new John Travolta film From Paris With Love.
TitanPoker.com revealed that its French site will be holding an exclusive From Paris With Love tournament in which players can win up to $5,000 while it is also set to give away merchandise and tickets to the film at different intervals throughout the event.
From Paris with Love is the new action film from director Pierre Morel, the man behind District 13 and Taken, and stars Travolta alongside Irish actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The film was co-written and produced by the critically acclaimed French director Luc Besson, whose production company also chose to partner with TitanPoker.com and feature the online poker room in the motion picture.
The film focuses on Rhys Meyers’ character, who is a low-level CIA operative that dreams of becoming a genuine agent and seeing some real action. His first senior-level assignment sees him partner with the character played by Travolta, who is a trigger-happy, wisecracking, loose cannon that has been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack.
The senior operative drags his apprentice through the Parisian underworld on a shooting spree that the younger agent wishing he could go back to his cushy desk job. However, everything changes when the young charge realises that he is a target of the same crime ring the pair are trying to bust.
From Paris With Love was released earlier this month in the US but debuts this week in France and the UK. TitanPoker.com makes its big screen debut in a scene where one of the film's characters is playing online poker.
