Free online bingo site CostaBingo.com is pledging to donate 50 pence in aid of the continuing the relief efforts in the earthquake-ravaged nation of Haiti for every new Facebook fan it gets between now and the end of February.
The Caribbean country was hit by a magnitude-seven earthquake on January 12 that killed at least 150,000 while destroying several hospitals and damaging major landmarks including the state’s Presidential Palace.
Last week, the United Nations increased its humanitarian appeal for Haiti to $1.4 billion and stated that there was still an urgent need for tents, food and water in advance of the impending rainy season.
“At times like this, we all do as much as we can to help,” said Richard Skelhorn, Chief Executive Officer for CostaBingo.com.
“I have personally pledged to give 50 pence to Haitian relief for every single new fan that joins the CostaBingo.com Facebook fans page. The more fans we get the more money CostaBingo.com will donate. So, tell your friends to join the CostaBingo.com fans site today.”
Fans of online bingo can join CostaBingo.com’s Facebook page, which currently has well over 4,600 members, at Facebook.com/CostaBingo.
