Poker players that enjoy beer, wings and beautiful women in tight clothing are being offered a free invitation to the inaugural land-based AbsolutePoker.net Poker Academy in Hollywood tonight.
The leading online poker room is partnering with the Hooters chain of restaurants to mix all of these elements together for an experience unlike any other.
Being hosted by professional player Matt Vengrin, the event will take place this evening at Hooters in Hollywood, California from seven to nine o’clock local time. Attendees will be given the opportunity to compete at on-site tables or play against a world of virtual competitors through one of several AbsolutePoker.net gaming terminals. Vengrin is also set to offer free poker tips to those in attendance as they enjoy free wings and beer while Trishelle Cannatella and Lacey Jones are also set to make appearances.
“I'm all about trying new stuff to increase the appeal of poker,” said 24-year-old Vengrin.
“This is one of the first of many new things I will be doing to help bridge the gap between the poker world and the world outside of poker.”
