One of Europe’s best players has signed a sponsorship agreement with leading online poker room.

Gibraltar-licensed online poker room PartyPoker.com has announced the signing of a sponsorship agreement with top European professional player Dragan Galic.
The 35-year-old German/Croatian is currently rated as the top European player by rankings site PokerInEurope.com and was recently invited to play as a special guest in the Team Party heat at the PartyPoker.com Premier League IV tournament at the M Resort in Las Vegas. Although Galic didn't make it through the play-off stages, PartyPoker.com stated that it was suitably impressed and signed him up as a Team Party pro alongside Mike Sexton, Tony G, Kara Scott, Ian Frazer, Felipe 'Mojave' Ramos, Bodo Sbrzesny and Remy Biechel.
“After spending time with the other members of Team Party in Las Vegas, I am delighted to join,” said Galic.
“PartyPoker.com was the very first site I played on so in many ways it feels like coming home. I find games suitable for me on there and am excited by the opportunities this sponsorship deal will offer.”
Galic is from Schneverdingen near Hamburg and has over $900,000 in live tournament winnings alongside an accomplished online record. He recently won the Casino Austria Poker Tour with the highest overall ranking and finished fifth in the European Poker Tour’s San Remo main event after maintaining the chip lead from day one through to day four. A former service engineer with BMW until hanging up his overalls to become a professional poker player in 2006, he is a big contender for the European Player of the Year title and is a member of PartyPoker.com's Palladium Lounge VIP club.
“It is great to sign Dragan,” read a statement from PartyPoker.com.
“He has great qualities as an ambassador and an amazing game to go with it. We are excited about our partnership.”
The site revealed that Galic would be playing under the pseudonym 'DraganGalic'.
“Dragan is a fantastic all round player,” said Sexton.
“I have sat on the table with him and you don't want to put fire into that Dragan.”
