Isle Of Man-based online gambling software provider Microgaming has announced that its new 1Click Poker client has gone live at leading virtual sportsbook and poker site Ladbrokes.com.
Microgaming is the power behind the Microgaming Poker Network, which is utilised by top poker sites including 32RedPoker.com, SpinPalacePoker.com and PokerTime.eu, and stated that its 1Click Poker client takes a fresh approach to the old problem of how best to get new players active and competing online.
“We are very excited to launch 1Click Poker,” said Kate McLennan, Head Of Poker for Ladbrokes.com.
“It is so easy to use and start playing and it fits in perfectly with Ladbrokes.com’s efforts to bring poker to the people.”
Microgaming revealed that players opening the new client are presented with three understandable decisions. These are real or play money, ring or sit and go games and how much they would like to buy-in for. They then confirm their choice with one click before being immediately seated.
Built using Flash technology, Microgaming stated that 1Click Poker is Mac and PC compatible and can be played in a wide range of browsers. It also announced that the new client is a continuation of its overarching network strategy to attract and protect recreational players and follows other recent initiatives such as the change to its rake allocation method and the ban on data mining.
“It is with immense pleasure that we unveil this innovation to the industry,” said Andrew Clucas, Head Of Poker for Microgaming Software Systems.
“The concept driving our work on 1Click Poker was that ‘everything a player needs, presented clearly and logically’. We believe this new product will be hugely popular with operators and players alike.”
