Last season’s final was the 128th edition of the world’s oldest domestic football cup competition with over 89,000 fans watching Chelsea defeat Everton by two goals to one. Everton’s Louis Saha scored the fastest goal in the history of the final after only 25 seconds but an equaliser for Chelsea from Didier Drogba in the 21st minute followed before Frank Lampard hit the winner with 19 minutes left to play to hand the London-based club its fifth FA Cup.
