The new online casino information portal launched at AceHoyle.com has premiered a music section that allows visitors to play tracks including the site’s initial offering, Ace Of Face by Boston-based band The Honors.
Launched in early-December, AceHoyle.com is brainchild of Tortola-based web development firm Media Tier Limited and features The Adventures Of Ace Hoyle, a poker-themed noir comic strip created by writer Phill Provance and artist Tomas Batha. Chronicling the eccentric exploits of professional poker player ‘Ace Hoyle’ and his lady friend, ‘Dolly Finegold’, the series is fashioned in the style of a classic comic book with new episodes added each week.
The new music section currently features only the track from The Honors but will have additional songs added following AceHoyle.com’s Sonic Showdown Contest later this year. This ongoing competition will invite bands registered with the site to compete for prize money and a chance to have their songs appear on the official soundtrack for The Adventures Of Ace Hoyle animated series.
AceHoyle.com revealed that Ace Of Face is a specially commissioned tongue-in-cheek homage to theme songs from leading 1980s media franchises such as Masters Of The Universe and GI Joe: A Real American Hero. It is also available to purchase on the site and will be included on the comic’s official soundtrack.
“This is the first of many steps we’re taking to make the site more than just your average gambling portal,” said Provance.
“The Honors is really such a talented group of guys and we feel absolutely blessed to have had a chance to work with them.”
AceHoyle.com also offers readers gambling news, interviews of poker celebrities, original music and videos, flash games and strategy guides. There are also interactive community features in which poker and gambling fans can exchange stories and advice.
