Leading online poker room DoylesRoom.com has announced that it is sweetening the pot for its upcoming Extreme Points Race promotion by adding $150,000 in cash.
The Curacao and Cyprus-licensed site stated that its Extreme Points Race will give players five chances throughout April to win a share of $150,000 just for logging on and earning Frequent Player Points.
DoylesRoom.com is the only site to bear the name of legendary American poker player Doyle Brunson and revealed that the first period of its special promotion would begin on Thursday and run until April 9. At the end of this stage, the site will award the top 200 players in terms of the number of Frequent Player Points they have earned with a share of $25,000 in cash.
The second period of this special promotion will run from April 10 to 16 while the third race kicks off on April 17 before closing seven days later with both awarding an identical cash prize to the top 200 competitors. The month will end with a fourth seven-day stage beginning on April 24 also promising to share out $25,000 to the top 200 point earners.
DoylesRoom.com stated that it would then look at the number of points players earned during each race and award the top 300 with a share of an additional $50,000 in cash. This final race is accumulative and will be based on a multiplier that will help players that earned points later on finish higher. As an example, points earned during the first week of the Extreme Points Race will be multiplied by one while those earned during the second will be doubled. All points earned in week three will be multiplied by three while playing during the fourth week will see all points quadrupled.
