Online betting exchange launches a lighter version of portal

Coke isn’t the only brand which has gone lite to target health conscious customers.
Now, Betfair.com, the online betting exchange has launched a new service, Betfair Lite at Lite.betfair.com. The new online portal is aimed squarely at users with a PDA or HTML or XHTML mobile browser, in their phone to view betting odds and instant prices across the entire range of Betfair markets.
The catch however, is that mobile customers will not be able to log into their accounts or place bets on the lite version. Also customers with WAP enabled phones also will not be avail the service says the company. Betfair promises to solve the inadequacy, in the near future by modifying the site to allow placing and modifying bets.
The portal also offers betting odds on events ranging from Norwegian Pop Idol to the Danish Big Brother, world sports events, including Chess championships.
