New iGGBA Council Put in Place

Interactive Gambling, Gaming and Betting Association announce a productive AGM

iGGBA, which stands for the Interactive Gambling, Gaming and Betting Association, has announced that, following a its AGM last week at the ICE show, a new council has been put in place. The members for 2004 are Andrew Tottenham, Trading Sports (Chairman of iGGBA); Steve Toneguzzo, GGS; Nick Harding, RAL Interactive; John Carganello, TST; Malcolm Graham, Ritz Interactive; Richard Boardley, Littlewoods; Nancy Chan of Palmateer and Cryptologic; and, finally, Richard Flint of BSKYB.

IGGBA was founded in January 2002 as a trade association for the gambling industry, and members include operators, technology companies, suppliers of services and other parties directly involved in the iGaming industry.

During a productive meeting iGGBA announced the formation of new regulatory and tax committees in preparation for the UK Draft Gambling Bill. iGGBA also expanded the scope of the organization to direct engagement with the European Union following on recent developments in Brussels concerning gambling.

“This has been an excellent AGM and the new Council will strengthen our work in new areas such as the European Union and the construction of a regulatory framework in the UK,” stated Andrew Tottenham, the newly re-elected Chairman. “There are over 45 members in iGGBA now and is a tribute to our success as an organisation. iGGBA will be at the forefront of the issues affecting the industry both in the UK and Europe and our membership growth shall continue to support that mission”, stated Mr. Tottenham.
