Icelandic firm has finalised a deal that authorises it to sell over 85 online casino titles from the leading software provider to state lotteries.

Friday 28th May 2010

Isle Of Man-based online gambling software provider Microgaming has announced a deal that will see leading gaming solution and services vendor Betware sell its suite of virtual casino games to state lotteries. Betware is based in Iceland with over 14 years of experience in providing Internet solutions to lotteries and currently offers a turnkey solution and gaming platform alongside a large portfolio of games. The deal will see Betware supplement its suite of lottery, instant, sportsbetting, bingo, racing, skill, casual and multi-player games with access to over 85 casino titles from Microgaming. “We are very proud and excited to be licensed to sell and market Microgaming’s casino games to growing markets,” said Stefan Hrafnkelsson, Chief Executive Officer for Betware. “This agreement significantly expands our product offering and provides our customers with a great opportunity to leverage on the fantastic success of the Microgaming brand. “Ultimately, we believe that this venture will not only be beneficial for the state lotteries we service but for both ourselves and Microgaming too.” “We are delighted to be able to license our casino games to Betware, which is truly a market leader in its field,” said Roger Raatgever, Chief Executive Officer for Microgaming. “Betware’s long history in gaming combined with its extensive lottery network will be beneficial in pushing the Microgaming brand into exciting new territories and markets. We look forward to a long and successful working relationship.”
