Leading mobile interactive gaming and betting solutions provider Cometa Wireless Limited has announced its first annual profit on turnover that doubled when compared to the previous financial year.
Sheffield-based Cometa was established in 2003 and specialises in delivering easy-to-play casino-style games for mobile telephones. It revealed that it spent its first two years developing a games portfolio and its underlying Arcadia technology to enable customers to continue playing even when there is no mobile signal.
The firm revealed that it has ‘grown rapidly in each financial year’ since with further high growth anticipated for 2010 as new games are developed for quickly expanding platforms such as iPhone and Android and ‘exciting new approaches to the rapidly growing sector are trialled’.
“We are delighted that the business is really taking off, driven both by expanding awareness and quality of product,” said Rob Anderson, Chief Executive Officer for Cometa.
“We are currently experiencing month-on-month increases in customer spend so 2010/11 looks great.”
