New online poker room RealDealPoker.com has announced that American five-time world heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield has joined its team to campaign for fair play.
Holyfield, who earned his ‘Real Deal’ nickname after winning multiple championships in both the heavyweight and cruiserweight divisions, warrants a place in sports history after defeating the likes of Mike Tyson, George Foreman and Larry Holmes while he also took home the bronze medal in the light heavyweight division at the 1984 Summer Olympics.
RealDealPoker.com stated that it is the only site in the world to use actual cards rather than a random number generator while also offering extra features including burn cards, a cut function, a real scramble alongside the ability to audit entire deck arrays.
“There are no random number generators here,” said Gene Gioia, founder of RealDealPoker.com and Chief Executive Officer for Gioia International Limited.
“Our revolutionary technology uses real cards, can be audited and leaves no question about the fairness of games. We have accomplished what no one thought was possible, to deal real cards in an online environment.”
Holyfield revealed that he will be in Las Vegas to participate alongside Gioia in the Ante Up For Africa celebrity charity poker tournament on Saturday while also attending the main event of the World Series Of Poker from July 5.
“Real cards being dealt online, why didn’t someone think of this sooner,” said 47-year-old Holyfield.
“If I’m playing poker, I like to know I am playing with real cards and not just a computer. RealDealPoker.com is a poker room I’m very proud to be associated with.”
