PokerStars.com has revealed that its popular online tournament series will begin on September 5 before finishing three weeks later after 62 events.

Leading online poker site PokerStars.com has released its provisional schedule for the 2010 edition of the World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) with the action due to kick off from September 5 before finishing three weeks later.
The Isle Of Man-licensed site stated that the WCOOP 2010 would begin on September 5 from one o’clock in the afternoon New York time with a $215 buy-in no-limit hold’em six-maximum event before continuing two hours later with a high-roller variation that will cost $10,300 to enter.
There will then be a $215 buy-in no-limit hold’em two-day tournament from five o’clock in the afternoon to finish off the first day while September 6 is to begin with a $320 buy-in pot-limit Omaha event from two o’clock in the afternoon.
Although no information has yet been released pertaining to guarantees, PokerStars.com revealed that the latest edition of the WCOOP would encompass 62 events and finish on September 26 with its two-day $5,200 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event.
Other key events include a $320 buy-in mixed hold’em six-maximum event on September 14 from two o’clock in the afternoon and the high-roller $25,500 buy-in two-day no-limit hold’em heads-up tournament from September 18 while September 25 will see a 2,100 buy-in Horse competition.
“Last year's WCOOP saw nearly $52 million in prize money awarded to PokerStars.com players including more than $1.7 million to main event winner Yevgeniy ‘Jovial Gent’ Timoshenko,” read a statement from PokerStars.com.
“There will be more news to come on this year's schedule including information on guarantees and the like but, for now, let's get on with what everybody wants to see.”
