Leading poker magazine Bluff Europe has announced the itinerary for the latest in its Poker Academy lecture series, which is set to take place at the Grosvenor Casino London Victoria on July 31.
Being held in association with online poker room BlackbeltPoker.com, the theme for the event will be ‘accumulating chips in tournaments’ with professional players Neil Channing, Nik Persaud and Alex Rousso helping attendees consider and appreciate the merits of the small ball style of game along with the loose and tight aggressive approaches.
The latest Poker Academy will begin from one o’clock in the afternoon London time with an introduction into these three money-making tournament styles conducted by Rousso before the pro moves on to explain the tight aggressive approach in further detail. Participants will then be encouraged to put into practice what they have learned through a 45-minute workshop before a taking a short break with sandwiches.
Persaud will then enlighten participants on the loose aggressive style of poker from three o’clock in the afternoon before another workshop follows. Attendees will subsequently be shown a video featuring hands from televised tournaments in order to further explain the approaches.
Channing gets involved from five o’clock in the afternoon explaining the small ball style of poker followed by the final workshop and a debate on the pros and cons of each approach from half-past six o’clock.
The event ends at seven o’clock in the evening but Poker Academy participants are to be offered optional entry into the Grosvenor Casino London Victoria’s £56 buy-in tournament 45 minutes later.
