Leading poker magazine Bluff Europe has announced that the Grosvenor Casino London Victoria will be holding a special satellite competition next week awarding one seat worth £150 into its July 31 Poker Academy event.
The special satellite will have a buy-in of £31 with rebuys and take place at the Grosvenor Casino London Victoria at 8pm on July 22 with one seat into the seminar for the winner guaranteed. Sponsored by online poker room BlackbeltPoker.com, the theme for the Poker Academy event is ‘accumulating chips in tournaments’ with professional players Neil Channing, Nik Persaud and Alex Rousso helping attendees consider and appreciate the merits of the small ball style of game along with the loose and tight aggressive approaches.
There will also be an optional tournament after the event with a buy-on of £56 and ‘last longer’ for Poker Academy attendees with the winner getting four free Skype sessions with a BlackbeltPoker.com professional.
Channing is due to arrive at the Poker Academy event fresh from the World Series Of Poker in Las Vegas where he cashed for $321,931 while Bluff Europe revealed that places at the London seminar are still available by visiting BluffEurope.com/PokerAcademy.
“The idea is to get each professional player to advocate a style then the punters practise each of the three styles and then we have a debate at the end on the pros and cons of each style, especially given each situation,” said Rousso.
“With Neil and Nik on board, it should be a fascinating and valuable series of lectures.”
