Players at leading online poker site PKR.com could very well be showing off their skills at one of London’s swankiest new venues after the Alderney-licensed site signed a sponsorship agreement with The Fox Poker Club.
Scheduled to officially open on August 7, the new site will officially be known as The Fox Poker Club In Association With PKR.com and offer a full spectrum of poker including daily tournaments and cash games with free afternoon tutorials.
“This is a great opportunity for PKR.com,” said Simon Prodger, Marketing Director for PKR.com.
“To have a fully licensed poker room in central London is fantastic for the poker community and we look forward to seeing it flourish as we host events at the venue.
“As you may have already guessed by now, this will be the new exclusive venue for future PKR.com live events and we promise that you will be blown away by this brand new development. There will be loads of great benefits for PKR.com players and we’ll be announcing all the details in the next few weeks.
“We’ll also be running a ton of promotions in the run-up to the grand opening, which will include the chance for you to win your way into the opening night party.”
The venue is located on Shaftesbury Avenue in the heart of London’s famed West End and has been named for famous 18th Century politician Charles Fox. It will occupy 6,500 square feet of space when completed featuring seating for 200 players as well as a poker library, smoker’s deck and bar.
“I’m extremely pleased to partner with such an exciting company as PKR.com,” said Chris North, Managing Director for The Fox Poker Club.
“We have similar goals of bringing poker to a wider market.”
