Organisers of this year’s Poker In The Park festival have signed a partnership deal with Bodog.com that will see the online sportsbook and poker giant serve as an official sponsor.
Now in its four year, Poker In The Park is Europe’s largest poker event and its latest edition will take place from September 2 to 3 in London’s Leicester Square with over 20,000 people expected to attend.
Bodog.com has signed up as a sponsor for one of the event’s pair of ‘poker domes’, which will be running around-the-clock sit-and-go competitions featuring competitors battling it out for the title of Heads-Up Champion on state-of-the-art electronic tables.
“Bodog.com is about providing entertainment and poker players love the chance to play live and that's what we're offering right in the heart of London,” said Magnus Olby, Marketing Manager for Bodog Europe.
“Obviously, we'll add a few Bodog.com touches too so watch out for some hot girls and great freebies.”
The festival’s previous edition in August featured two days of free lectures from some of the biggest names in poker including world champions Jamie Gold and Peter Eastgate.
Alongside the live sit-and-go competitions, visitors can expect numerous free strategy talks from some of the world’s top players this autumn alongside autograph signings, cut-price deals on the latest books and merchandise and special celebrity guests including current WBF World Champion Evander Holyfield demonstrating the software behind RealDealPoker.com.
