With over half the season gone, Lewis Hamilton is leading the favourites to win the Drivers' Championship honour while Sebastian Vettel is not far behind.

With eight of the 19 races remaining in the 2010 Formula One calendar, it would appear that the race for the Drivers’ Championship title is now between McLaren Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel from Red Bulls Racing.
Although Hamilton was only able to finish in fourth spot at last weekend’s German Grand Prix from Hockenheim, he still leads the Championship with 157 points and SkyBet.com and ExtraBet.com list odds of 13/8 that the 25-year-old will have won his second title come November 14.
Slightly longer, Ladbrokes.com has Hamilton at odds of 7/4 to hold off a late challenge and win the individual honour while Coral.co.uk shows 15/8 followed by VictorChandler.com, WilliamHill.com, BetFred.com, BlueSq.com, 888Sport.com and PaddyPower.com with 2/1.
Despite only having won two races so far this season, Hamilton has only finished out of the points once and leads his teammate and closest rival Jenson Button by 14 points. BetDaq.com has the 2008 title holder at odds of 109/50 to win the 2010 crown while bet365.com, BoyleSports.com and StanJames.com show 9/4.
The next race in the Formula One calendar is Budapest this weekend and Hamilton should be among the favourites after winning the event in 2007 and 2009. Betfair.com and WBX.com are offering odds of 57/25 on the Englishman winning the Driver’s Championship this season while punters can get 23/10 from Bwin.com.
Despite taking pole-position six times already this season, 23-year-old Sebastian Vettel has only won two races and sits in joint third spot in the Driver’s Championship with 136 points alongside teammate Mark Webber.
The German is being offered at odds of 9/5 by WBX.com to win his first Driver’s Championship this season while PaddyPower.com shows 15/8.
This is Vettel’s third full season in Formula One and much is expected after he finished in second place last time out behind Button with BetFred.com, SkyBet.com and StanJames.com showing odds of 2/1 on the individual honour coming his way this year.
Longer, odds of 85/40 are available from VictorChandler.com on Vettel winning the 2010 Driver’s Championship while Bwin.com shows 11/5 ahead of WilliamHill.com, Bet365.com, Coral.co.uk, BoyleSports.com and ExtraBet.com with 9/4.
At the far end of the spectrum are BetDaq.com and Betfair.com showing odds of 119/50 on Vettel winning the individual honour followed by Ladbrokes.com, 888Sport.com and BlueSq.com offering 5/2.
