Leading online poker room FullTiltPoker.com has announced the addition of 27-year-old Englishman James ‘Flushy’ Dempsey to its Red Pro team of sponsored professional players.
The sponsorship deal will see the Brighton native compete online at FullTiltPoker.com in addition to representing the Alderney-licensed domain at land-based events around the world.
Since 2005, Dempsey has earned over $735,000 from live tournaments including $197,470 for winning his first World Series Of Poker (WSOP) bracelet at this year’s $1,500 buy-in pot-limit hold’em event. The East Sussex resident also made $301,789 for finishing second to Sammy Farha in the $10,000 buy-in Omaha High-Low Split-Eight Or Better World Championship in Las Vegas in June while he took home $211,000 after scooping second spot in a no-limit hold’em event at last year’s PokerStars.com Spring Championships Of Online Poker.
“I couldn’t be more excited,” said Dempsey.
“This is such a dream of mine. I’ve worked very hard for this over the years and to have won a bracelet and now this is just fantastic.”
Dempsey joins fellow British WSOP bracelet winners Praz Bansi and Richard Ashby at FullTiltPoker.com with his debut scheduled to come during the Poker Million contest, which began airing this month in the UK on Sky Sports.
