ATE Announces Betting Show Seminars Agenda
This October’s Betting Show to address ‘the changing face of the British horseracing product’
Thursday 5th August 2004
ATE announced today that, as in previous years, a series of seminars will run alongside the Betting Show at the NEC Pavilion, Birmingham, UK, this autumn. This year’s topic will be ‘the changing face of the British horseracing product’ with the first day tackling traditional bookmaking issues, and the second discussing the interactive market.
ATE say a number of high profile figures are already on board to contribute to the debate, including: Warwick Bartlett (Chairman) and Tom Kelly (Chief Executive), Association of British Bookmakers; Steve Donoughue, CEO, The Gambling Consultancy; Nicky Rust, Managing Director, Sky Bet; Clive Hawkswood, General Secretary, ARGO (Remote Gaming Operator Association); and Dr. Richard M. Marshall, Technical Director & Consultancy Team Leader, Rapid Mobile.
ATE’s Penny Gruber, who is responsible for co-ordinating the seminars, said, “This year’s Betting Show Seminars will once again bring together a wealth of expertise to discuss the issues driving the betting industry today. No stranger to controversy, these seminars will provide the ideal arena for debate, led by the industry, for the industry. In five round table sessions participants will have the opportunity to engage with senior Government representatives, betting shop owners, on-line and betting exchange operators, the associations and the supplier community as they air their differences and seek solutions.”
The show will on from 19th-20th October and the Seminars are free to enter for all registered show attendees.
