London-based online sportsbook and gaming software supplier OpenBet Technologies Limited has announced that it has been granted membership to the prestigious World Lottery Association (WLA).
The WLA is a global lottery and gaming authority and OpenBet revealed that it has joined ‘number of other respected gaming organisations’ and will work to help ensure that best practice standards are achieved across the industry.
“Becoming a member of this world-leading organisation marks an important step for OpenBet in our expansion as a global provider for the iGaming and lottery sectors,” said David Loveday, Chief Executive Officer for OpenBet.
“We look forward to working with other members of the WLA to achieve our mutual goals for the industry.”
OpenBet stated that it has ‘long-standing relationships with a number of Government-backed organisations’ such as France’s Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) while also partnering with jurisdictions in North America including the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and Loto-Quebec as a primary iGaming software supplier.
“OpenBet’s membership in the WLA demonstrates that it is a partner in the global gaming community,” said Marcel Croux, Senior Vice-President Of Corporate Affairs for Loto-Quebec, a certified Level Four member of the WLA.
“Loto-Quebec is satisfied with the expertise and level of support received from this iGaming provider and software supplier. We are confident that our site launch and the games offered will be successful.”
