Alderney-licensed online gambling platform developer and provider Virtue Fusion Limited has announced a deal that will see communications and information firm Level 3 Communications Incorporated provide it with content delivery network services.
Level 3 Communications is based in the Denver suburb of Broomfield and stated that it is to provide Virtue Fusion with caching and download services in order to improve the end-user experience with faster and more consistent download times.
The American firm revealed that the agreement will also result in ‘a significant reduction in the company’s data centre bandwidth charges’.
“The consistent performance of our content delivery network is crucial to ensuring a great gaming experience for our customers,” said Bob McCulloch, Chief Executive Officer for Virtue Fusion.
“With Level 3, we can deliver top-quality and reliability for our customers while realising significant cost efficiencies for our own business.”
With an operations centre located on the island of Guernsey, Virtue Fusion maintains licences with more than 20 well-known online bingo providers including Ladbrokes.com, VirginGames.com, PaddyPower.com, WilliamHill.com, MeccaBingo.com and Bet365.com. It stated that it will now have access to Level 3’s suite of media delivery services, which have been designed for global reach and optimised for the end-user experience, where in the past it was limited in its telecommunications options due to its remote island location.
“Level 3’s content delivery network solution for Virtue Fusion provides the scalability and network resiliency it needs to meet current and future demand,” said James Heard, European Markets President for Level 3.
“We’re pleased that we were able to provide a better solution for its needs while helping it to reduce some of its previous infrastructure and usage costs.”
