Internet sportsbook, casino and racebook introduces horse handicapping challenge

Oasis Casino, Sportsbook & Racebook has announced it will be sponsoring the “Oasis $1,000,000 Handicapping Challenge” beginning March 21, 2005.
“While a $1,000,000 prize has long been a staple for our casino players who wish to showcase their card playing prowess, our horse racing contest will be the first time that our customers will have a shot at a $1,000,000 payday by showing off their handicapping skills,” said Randolph Shea, Oasis Casino’s Director of Corporate Communication.
The high stakes horse handicapping contest, which will run for ten consecutive weeks, will require contestants to correctly predict winners of pre-determined horse races. En route to a chance at the $1,000,000 prize, would-be horse experts will have the opportunity to win guaranteed prizes totalling $2000, including ten $100 weekly prizes and a $1000 First Prize.
Oasis Casino, which launched its racebook in December of 2003, is adding the “$1,000,000 Handicapping Challenge” to give its horse bettors an opportunity to realize the ultimate payoff of $1,000,000, something that it has offered its casino players for nearly a decade in the form of its Super Caribbean Stud Progressive Jackpot.
